Weight Loss vs Fat Loss

Do you want to lose weight?

If you answered yes, you are wrong. Well, not completely wrong… But what you’re really wanting to do is lose fat. Anybody can lose weight. You just don’t eat. You will lose weight, unfortunately, the weight you lose will be both muscle and fat.

A calorie deficit of around d 3500kcals will be roughly a 1lb of fat loss (1-week period) As much as a quicker rate of weight loss may seem appealing, it’s key to understand how much fat the body can lose realistically and safely.

Stick to a sensible and controlled calorie deficit meanwhile consuming enough food (carbs, fat and protein) as possible while reducing body fat, train hard, progressively overload, stick to your training plan and make sure you are still pushing heavy weights when aiming to change your body composition throughout your fat loss journey. You should be to improve body composition, rather than focus on weight loss, which is more often just a number on the scales.

Merry Christmas!
